    Bow Hunting in the rain

If you have been bow hunting in the rain, and when you are apcking up and you dont have anything to dry your bow off with, and you put it back in the case, when you get home and take it out to wipe down,is there some king of scent free oil that you use to keep bolts from rusting????? Or what do you do??? Thanks...Brian

I used olive oil last time....no rust so it worked.

You ca oil it before you go with mineral oil, or coat it with string wax. Or not worry about it too much. All the bearings are sealed so the insides are not getting wet, and the water messes up the strings more than the accessories.

I dry mine the best I can then blow her down with compressed air until I can find no more water then lightly apply Rem Oil on the metal parts. Probably would not want to oil it on the stand but after sitting a few hours no noticable odor.

For prevention, I've rubbed bow wax on bolts before going out

I just wipe her down when I get home. No oil, only had rust issues on accessories. A little rem oil took care of that!

I just wipe it down, and leave my bow case unzipped for a week or so to let any moisture evaporate....never had any rust problems.

i don't put it in the case if it's wet

I wait until i can dry it, being wet is bad enough, getting a steam bath is another thing.
