2013 PSE Dream Season DNA

I have the DNA and havent got to let it eat yet, but i love the bow. I will say that this bow is not a bow to just pick up once a year. The draw is pretty drastic and it really wants to eat at full draw. You have to trully pull into the wall and not slack off or it will try and dig on ya! lol

This is a shooters bow by all means!

At my draw and pundage with Easton surgical arrows cut about 3" too long (havent cut them down yet from other bow) i am shooting 346. Once i cut the arrows down i should get to about 350+ i suspect.

The pundage at 70lbs draws as if it was set at 60

swing by CCR and try one out!

Ill re-post after i get a weight but they are light as hell to begin with,,,,they are Easton surgical Flatlines 400's,,think they are 7.4 an inch,,,might be wrong on that,,at work

at 70 lbs isnt a 400 spine a little underspined? i would think 340 would be the one.

I shot several of the 2013 bows the other day. I was not a fan of the DNA, I just couldn't get used to it wanting to go. If you blink at full draw, it's taking off. That's just my personal feelings for the bow, there are a lot folks out there who love it. I owned a CE RKT this year and they are two completely different animals, makes it hard to compare the two. My favorites so far this year are the Experience, I usually shoot Bowtechs best, I just wish it was a little lighter and I was pleasantly surprised by the Creed, ridiculously smooth.

havent evan cut them shorter yet so going to try them out shorter before going to 340's...

No matter what anybody says, you have to put energy into something to get energy out.

Speed bows are stiff....it's the nature of the beast.

Some draw cycles are smoother than others, some have dumps into the valley that are hard some are nice and easy.

IMO, the hybrid cam with cable stops arn't my favorite for feel. The PSE utilizes a very low letoff which is startling to the person who isn't expecting it. It will bounce a bit until you learn to keep a positive "push-pull" on the bow.

Low letoff can help you become a better, more stable shooter though.

I've never really heard anybody say that the wall is solid on a cable stop type bow. Mostly only limb stops (Elite, Obsession, Helim....etc.)

If I was you I'd take what everybody says here and compare it wo what you feel.

If it was my decision to make, I'd get the Hoyt....or get John's Custom archery (aka Breathn on ArcheryTalk) to custom build me a PSE based on what I want out if it.

I've shot the DNA, and I currently shoot a Bowtech Insanity...so I am used to an aggressive draw curve, but to me, the draw is just too stiff too soon. That thing ramps up in a big freakin hurry, and at the back wall there is not a lot of settling in....big dog wants to eat!

That said, it is fast, accurate and quiet. Definitely a quality bow, but not a draw cycle that I personally care for. To each is own!
