I bought a Used QAD HDX and the draw string is very short. Can this be replaced? If so, how do I go about getting that done?

Go to a local pro shop and they'll replace the cord with the correct length and install/ time it properly for you. You could do it yourself if you have the screw set that holds the cord to your down cable but if you don't, you will need to go to a pro shop and they will most likely just serve it through your down cable in a press.
