    Old bow question

Have a PSE Lightening Flite with info below
Bow is in good shape and i shot it and had a good tight group at 20yds, 30 yds was a bit wide. But it was first real day to shoot it. My question ---I want to update the site and rest, maybe put xfactor equipment on it to help reduce noise. Then play with it over the next year and eventually move upto a newer style bow. So is it money ****** away by adding upgrades to this old bow, Think its 1995-1996 era compound.
It shoots good, has new string/cable and I know the P/O has taken several deer with it.

If you plan to move accessories from that bow to a new one when you pick it up I don't think it's money wasted. If anything it would make you appreciate the new technology on a new bow much more when you get one.

      This maybe a dumb question...but
Are all the sights and res'st pretty much universal fit? Meaning the new sights and rest I see at Academy will fit my old bow? and i can transfer to a newer bow later on?
Its been 20 plus yrs for me using bows and things were alot different back then.

      Thx

most of the sight screw hole gaps are set standards through out the industry.

with the rest, it's one screw. might be some clearance issues (with this bow) using a newer style containment rest???
