    Rip Cord Code Red Broke

I switched over a few years ago to Rip Cord from Trophy Taker. I always appreciated the simplicity of the Trophy Taker and never had an issue with 3 or 4 rests over a 10 year span.

Now I have shot this Code Red for 3 years and it finally crapped out this weekend. It will lock up in place but only releases about 50% of the time meaning some of my shots went wild ad the fletchings passed through the rest.

I pulled the casing off the rest and all seems to be fine, I take it apart and lube it up and I cannot get it back together properly. I am ******!!!

My question...Should I change out for my old trophy Taker or go pick up a new rest?

I had the same problem eariler in the year. I was at a 3d shoot in the rain and some of the insterals were rusting up about 2 weeks later and some trash was found inside. I called RipCord and they sent me a new set of internals free of charge. That seemed to fix the problem. I have also see the drop away cord frey and get caught up inside the housing.

I had a new one that would do that. About every 10 shots it would not drop away. I went back to my limb driver.

I would definately contact Rip Cord and discuss the issue you are having. I had an issue with my containment arm and I sent an email this morning and I got a response within 30minutes and saying they will send me a replacement for free under warranty. Hope this helps you.

            RipCord Gaurantee (from http://www.ripcordarrowrest.com)

The Ripcord Arrow Rest is well-built and designed to last. It is precision-machined from blocks of lightweight aluminum and features rounded edges and contoured surfaces for a finished, professional look. Best of all, Ripcord is backed by this rock solid guarantee:

                That is a horrible deal.
I hope things work out, and it didn't happen when you needed it to function properly.

They took care me a couple of years ago. One of the forks broke from slapping the shelf I assume. I sent them the arm, and they sent me a brand new rest a week later. Hopefully they will make it right with you
