I just switched to carbon arrows last year, seen all the horror stories on splintering arrows. Everyone says to flex your arrows every chance you get, but what am I looking for? If it's bad is supposed to snap in half, make a cracking noise, poping sound? Shot a squirrel awhile back he turned and sank his teeth in my arrow, I have flexed that arrow till I was blue. It doesnt make a sound or snap but you can see the teeth marks in it. I will not shoot that arrow to scared of the squirels revenge.

Little help on flexing arrows

Just remember you don't have to miss the target and hit a rock or a wall to damage an arrow. The majority of the time arrow damage comes when you shoot a real tight group and one point just clips the shaft of another arrow. This can just slightly damage the top layer of carbon - but not visibly so - and the damage gets worse the more you shoot it. Just flex them regularly and you will be fine. If there is any damage you will hear it. Shooting each arrow at a different spot will help.
