    Limb Driver -vs- NAP Apache

I know the Limb Driver is a very good rest, based on all of the comments that I've read about it, and I was excited when one came on a "new" bow that I just bought last week, but after shooting it for a week, and having used a full containment rest for the last 3 years, I find myself leaning towards taking the LD off of my new bow and putting an NAP Apache on it, which I have on my previous (now back-up) bow. I know the Apache is a "cheap" drop away, but I've been more than pleased with the one that I've used for over a year now. It just seems that the LD isn't suited for my hunting needs, like the Apache is.

I tried to be a limbdriver guy, I guess I had a hang up with cable driven rest pulling my cams out of sync and time.

I'm over that now. I can't get myself to buy any other rest than the NAP Apache.

It's the quietest full containment drop away. Only down side to most people is that you can't lock the launcher arm up, but to me, I could care less.

The best rest in the world isn't going be any good to you if it isn't what you are comfortable with. Go with what you have faith in.

Mike. Regular LD or the Pro V. I dont care for the regular one. But the Pro V is about the most accurate fall away made and it happens to be full capture.

Uuuuhhhhh. Limb Drivers cannot do that. They hook to the limb. Its impossible for that to happen with a LD. Thats the reason for the entire concept. That and the increased arrow support thru the release.

            You should reread my post....

Ragin, It's the regular one. I think it would be a good rest for target shooting or 3D, but I just don't feel comfortable with it for hunting, which is what I'll use it for primarily.

FWIW: lbbf is gonna end up with it, because he happens to like them alot, and he'll also let me use his bow press to set up the Apache

Have you tried the Pro V?

Mike i agree. The Pro V is their "Hunting" Rest.

I have one sitting on the bench. I like it the most out of the limb driven rests I've shot.

I use the Limbdriver pro v on my GTO, and quad qxt on my insanity.

                    I wish i had two pro v's.

Best capture rest on the market IMO

I'll be happy to take that LD off your hands. You have unlimited press privileges, any time you need just come on by. Now I'll have to get a new bow to put that rest on.

Here's an idea. Put the Apache on your new bow and the Limbdriver on the backup and you are all set.

I have one of each and each is a good rest. I had the same issues with the LD when I first got it but after shooting it for three years now and taken 11 deer and a hog or 2 with it I am very comfortable with using it. Some LD users put one of the Simms or other brand arrow holders on the front of the bow shelf to hold the arrow until the shot. The LD is on my GTO and the Apache is on the Synergy Extreme. I would love to try the LD Pro V as I know it is a goodun but can't justify the $120 right now.

Good suggestion but I've had a spare Apache for awhile. I think I'll have one on both of my bows. Besides, lbbf is gonna need that LD for the new bow (that his wife doesn't know about yet)
