    Arrow help

Im new at all of this and I'm not sure if I have the right arrows. I'm shooting gold tip xt hunter 5575 arrows. They have a 400 spine and their weight is 249gr with a 100gr tip. My bow is a 2013 Elite Hunter with a 30", 60lbs draw.

How long's the arrow? You may be borderline with your DL.

Sounds ok to me but I prefer the 300 spine but I also shoot at 70 lbs.

You're probably okay considering your arrow is at 28".

How's it shooting broadheads? You paper tuned it to see if your spine is okay?

GT dosnt make the xt hunter in 300 spine. The 7595 is a 340 spine.

I think you should be good. Do you shoot feathers or vanes? Wraps?

Your finished arrow weight is 362ish. That is plenty for a 60 pound bow at that length. The shop where you got your bow more than likely got it really close to set up for you, so IMO your best bet is to practice like crazy!

I think you should keep them with your setup you have.

Walkback tune it then broadhead tune it to set the centershot on your rest.

If you have large issues getting your BH's to tune with your FP's then you could have a spine issue.

I think you'll be fine though with the 28" arrow.

thanks for the help I guess my groups haven't been to bad. Just a little off every once in a while. They just seem a little inconsistent that's all. What do yall think of the vap arrows.

I have some coming as we speak.

On a side note, I shoot Elites and I love them. There's only one issue with them IMO. It's the grip. You have to pay attention to how you grip the bow.

It's really easy to torque the riser and cause fliers. Make sure you keep your grip consistant and repeatable.

Great replies and 12ringking is 100% correct in his last post. Repetition, the same over and over again is what makes your groups smaller. Get to a point to where you do not think about how your hand is positioned or where you anchor as it becomes habit and then you can concentrate on the pin position on the target.

thanks for all the help and a side note I just had my 5th shoulder surgery. so once I get a bit more strength back. I think my groups will shrink as well.
