I think I know what you're talking about...
The m-80 has a plot watcher mode on it but I've never played with it.
Not sure how much the pros cost but the m-80 is around $100-120 if that's a cheaper way to check it out.

I'm running two of the original PlotWatchers..they are great.

I understand that the Pro's have a ton more options.

I just wish you could rig a bigger battery.

I've got a plot watcher pro out right now. Ive only had it out three weeks and checked it last weekend. Works great, although I figured out the hard way that it doesn't have enough resolution with the standard lenses to set up 75 yards from your feeder. I had a good buck come in but all you could tell was that he had a big body, outside of his ears, and tall. So now I've set it at the feeder filming the other way. I'll basically get the same shot, but with a chance of seeing them up close.

All in all I've been pleased so far.
