New Scott's are good. Carter by far has the quality.

I use a Tru ball max pro4 for 3d and love it.

      Cost isn't everything.

In this case, I think cheap is good.

I was just looking at my TruBall Pro diamond extreme, which I think is somewhat similar to yours, probably the same mechanism with a different handle or something. Anyway, I noticed a set screw backed out of the thumb trigger, and I knew right off that it was the adjustment screw. Luckily, backing that screw out makes the trigger harder to pull, and prevents premature firing. I'm betting the guy that had a problem with his, it was just adjusted wrong and needed to be adjusted slightly. Read the directions on yours are adjust the trigger correctly, and if you have any doubts, back it out a little more, then lock it down with locktite. On mine, 1/16 of a turn can make the difference between accidental discharge and adjusted correctly.

            Thanks for all y'alls input,

I agree scott makes a great release; I own two.

I pulled up the instructions online on how to adjust it and will be sure make adjustments accordingly. I was not able to do anything with it today as I hit the snooze instead of waking up early, but will report back tomorrow. It is good to hear very positive replys.

            Thanks again.

              ^ this.
I use the exact same release and I had to adjust it when I first got it. Lost my first arrow in back yard cause i got it pulled halfway back and it just went off. Got it adjusted right (.050 allen wrench i believe) and make sure i got my thumb locked behind it when i pull back and i havent had any problems since. A lot easier for me to find anchor point with it over wrist release.
