D-loop keep getting too tight on nock.

I was able to re-spread the nock gap on my d-loop but it continues to cinch down on my nock so tight I can barely un-nock the arrow manually. I've tightened the d-loop knots by using the needle nose trick but it won't even last long enough for 1 draw back. This is a new-to-me bow but the d-loop looks perfect. I know it is not good for it to be as tight as it is. It appears the arrows are losing serious FPS. Is the only fix a new d-loop?

yeah IMO id get a new one... if you do it your self use a d-loop strecher and go to town with it.

Yes you need to tie on a new loop. Take a Marker of some sort and mark where your nock point is before you take off the D loop.

I take a piece of serving and tie a knot above and below where the arrow clicks on the string leaving about a 1/16th of a gap between knot and arrow.

Then I tie the D loop on the outside of those knots. It can never pinch the nock then.

Idk why it's not done like this every time!

Looks good. I can't think of any but are there any downsides to doing it this way?

i would suggest using 1 brass clamp-on on top/bottom of arrow nock. then tie loop.

I dont do it exactly the same way as the picture I tie the knots equal size like the smaller of the knots.

downside is it takes a little bit longer but thats about it.

Brass nocks would have more of a chance of slipping. They are also heavier and I just dont like the looks of them.

Mine is already exactly like that & I used needle nose in that same way to no avail. I don't understand why this is happening, though. The bow hasn't even been shot 100 times!

is the serving material slipping with it??

the above tied "nock" should stop the problem .. unless your serving is slipping or seperating

if the serving is separating under the D-loop you need to have the string re-center served

I use tied in nock points and put D loop as short as possible around those. Works for me!

                              Same with me.

I took a file and made a groove on the outside of the pliers.
