Carbon Matrix vs Alpha Elite or Vantage Elite

Getting back into tournament shooting in ASA. Been out of it for quite awhile. Noticed alot of people are shooting the shoot thru risers on the Hoyt Elites. Im left handed so shooting these for a reference is next to impossible for me. Ive shot the Matrix and find it hard to believe that the shoot thru risers make much difference other than added weight and a longer ATA. Looking for pros and cons of each from experienced shooters of each. Thanks in advance for any help.

I own a AE with Fuel cam. Love it. Holds good and shoots good. I shoot a lot of ASA and I was able to get my speed easy with the AE. 60lb 28"DL 345gr arrow 282fps. Indoor scores avg around 300-50/52x for me.
The VE is gonna hold better but the spiral cams has lower let off. This will make you shoot strong shots. Get lazy holding and it'll jump on you. The longer ATA on it will make it more forgiving shooting IMO if you like high holding weight and you can still get speed comparable to the AE.
Matrix is a good shooter also and is a killer bow for hunting for the guys that favor longer ATA IMO. Just a lot lighter than the AE and VE. In tournaments you're typically adding weights on stabilizers to steady the shot, so the lightweight bow doesn't really matchup well on what people are trying to accomplish weight wise IMO.

Ya I've heard a few knock the spiral cams. Sounds like the alpha may be the way to go between the elites. Thanks for your opinion.

What's your DL? That can be a factor also.

You could also look at the GTX cam on a VE. It's a softer cam but good solid wall and still plenty fast.

30" draw. That's one hold back on the shorter ATA bows. Shot a contender today with spiral cams and really did well with it. May be ordering one of them.

A Contender would be the shortest bow I'd shoot with a 30" draw. VE would probably be better for you DL.
