    Moultrie camera problems

Got a couple of Moultrie D-40's with the LCD displays starting to go out. They are not dimming, just areas of pixels which are just not there anymore (pic below). Anybody know of any way to fix or repair this?

I talked to Moultrie customer service. They advised to do a "hard reset," which I did to no avail.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Don

Had this problem and ended up getting Moultrie to send me new LCD display ( at no cost). I heard they quit offering them for free, since they've had so much trouble with that particular model. I installed mine last year and covered the LCD with black electrical tape, since the sun seems to damage the pixels. No problems at all and the camera takes great pics. Moultrie has discontinued this model due to the problem.

Nope, you can't get the parts free anymore. They want $20 each for them now. The cameras still work, you just can't change the settings. When the batteries die and you replace them, it defaults to one pic, every minute. One other thing, you have to format the card in your computer to erase the old photos.
