An empty Gatoraid jug. The kind with the big lid. You'll thank me the first time you try to pee in a waterbottle with a small opening

Flashlight. The kind that you can strap around your head make it alot easier.

Depending on how thick the woods Binos are very handy.

But I never need a bigger opening than a water bottle...maybe I just have better aim...LOL!

I definitely need to get a good harnes before I setup my bow stand this year.

All good advice above - My first tree stand afternoon hunt the breeze was nice and before I knew it mother nature had rocked me to sleep, harness tug woke me up b4 I fell. Cannot stress the use of a good harness.

                Have Fun hunt safe

I suggest you do not use a climber on a pine tree

Thermacell is no joke, crank it up and the skeeters vanish

Harness, harness, a real good harness that is easy to put on or you won't wear it. I tend to take a little unexpected nap at times and you know that feeling you get of falling in a dream, well it feels the same way in real life. Sure keeps you awake for a while. I have two ropes, one on each side of stand, one for bow and one for pack. Get you some screw in hooks for them so they are not in your lap. I use a two man stand, gives you plenty of room.

hunter safety systems................you'll wear your harness if it is easy and comfortable to put on. hands down the best addition to my tree game to date. nothing else matters if you aren't alive and healthy to enjoy it!

#1. Harness. I can go without just about anything else, but I'll never go without my harness. I can say "oh, I'm in my 20's, athletic, blah blah and it will never happen to me", but fact is, it could. And I guess has, 'cause I've fallen asleep in the stand before.

#2. Thermacell. I hate skeeters and flies all over me when I hunt, and the thermacell is the most amazing product for that ever. Must have, but I'll still hunt if I forget it.

#3. Water. I like to do long sits, and even if it's cold outside, gotta stay hydrated.

Rangefinder gets an honorable mention, but if you range all the time while waiting, you end up knowing the range to every blade of grass, tree limb, and rock in your hunting area by heart.
