    Bow tuning ?

    What does it mean?

    What is involved?

    #2
Basically, getting your bow sighted in and making sure your arrows shoot straight. It has to be done but more important with fixed broadheads.

        wheel rotation synchronization

paper tuning for center shot (adjusting rest/knock point to make sure perfect alignment of arrow when realeased

A couple hours with a bow press and paper tuner in a proshop or your garage then your pretty close and ready to set your sight pins

Paper tuning can tell you a lie if thats the only tuning you do.

I like that video, but two questions...

1 At what minimum speed are you able to do this? 300+? 270+?
2 Why not do the horizontal center shot adjustment at 20 yd? I would think at 40yd there would be too many other variables that could be affecting the arrow flight: wind, shaking, etc

I will have to try this though and see how it works. Even though I have never found using a paper tuner to take more than 8-10 shots to get everything dialed in.

I cant answer the fps question, but that is how you find the center shot on your bow. Commonly referred to as walk back tuning.

Was it him or one of his employees. Ive had issues with them but not him. But Tater works at Academy now in their archery section. One of the few chain stores that has a real tech.

Tuning of a bow is making sure all the parts are working together at peak efficiency. It involves the arrow length, arrow spine, rest, rest tension, rest location, cam timing , tiller and a few other things.

                        pretty simple really.

It was him. I pulled out my bow, PSE, and the first words out of his mouth" that was the worst possible bow I could have bought." He then passed me off to some kid, and kid seemed like he could care less about even being there. The service just rubbed the wrong way. He may be a good guy, but not for me.

Gonna be using the guy, that you recommended , from trophy hunters. He seems very customer oriented.
