if you want to go with a fixed blade, look at the Muzzy's. Been around a long time.

Uhhh... Neither. Mechs are just too unreliable, IMO. Stick with cut on contact heads. At least you know they'll never fail to open up.

When asking about Reapers before last season, the overwhelming suggestion was the 1-3/8 100 gr heads. They are stronger and more compact in flight. It was easily the most favored of some very respectable TBHers that had been using Reapers for several years. I'm not saying the longer blades heads aren't any good... just relaying their Reaper experiences and preferences on whitetail, pronghorn and elk..

Yup Stick with the 1 3/8" cut! and chuck the practice points in the trash! Don't bother with them they sometimes wont fly right, but the real heads will fly great.

Reapers....I hit a double two weeks ago. Vitals pass through on the boar I was aiming for, spine pass through on the one standing behind him.

Those Grim Reaper damage pics are nnnaaaaasty. I was thinking about getting some Muzzy fixed blades, but now I'm thinking that those Grim Reapers are worth a look.

The bottom is the 2-blade blood runner. Bow form the top is Parker Hunter Mag 30 in @70# 440 grain arrow. Speed was in the 260's. Second is from a 2009 Monster 70#@30 in. Arrow is 510 grain at 310 fps.

                    100 gr. Grim Reaper.

If hunting whitetail, try the new whitetail special. 2 in cutting diameter with a razor tip cut on contact. These things are blood thirsty!

WOW. ok, I've been shooting swhackers for 3 years now. I have only shot deer and javas and everytime I shoot, it looks like a crime scene. chingos of blood man. However, I am sure the GR's are great BH's. Next year, gonna shoot those Grizz tricks.

I have been up in the air myself on which BH I'm using this year. I used Rage for the past 4-5 years and never have had a problem. Last year I purchased some GR WT special 2" and was less than impressed. The 1 deer I shot with the head broke off 2 blades passing thru the rib cage.

Since last year, I have been researching bh's like crazy and still can't decide. For me, it's a toss up between the GR 1 3/8", schwackers or ramcats. I have also spotted interest in the jak hammers as well, but don't know much about them. I do know I'm not a big fan of rubber bands and those are part of the jak hammer and schwacker setups.
