I just got the bowmadness XS from PSE and I have a couple of questions. I shot the bow once and thought that it was perfect. I could totally see and hear the difference over my old bow. I ordered the XS online with a package deal. The place set the bow to my draw length of 25" and set the draw weight for me at 50 pounds. I have no problem shooting the bow, and I'm able to get awesome groups at 20 and 30 yards. It seems like the bow I have is louder than the one I shot at the bow shop. There is an old style peep sight in this new bow that I don't like. It's the kind that splits the string into 3 parts around the peep sight. It gets in the way more than anything and I don't like it. How much should it cost to replace that peep sight with one that has a clear single hole to look through. Also, this bow has a knock loop that just will not stay put. It doesn't move up and down, but it keeps rotating around the string and will end up facing the rest instead of facing me. Is it normal for the loop to do this. Thanks for any advice GS.

The shop will probably replace the peep for free when you buy the new one from them. The loop twisting around is more a function of the string setting, and it is also fixable when you are at the shop. Maybe they can help you with the noise issue too. Local is the way to go, so you know it is right when it is in your hands.

The stock strings from the factory on PSE bows are horrible.
You might want to consider replacing them. I have never heard anybody say good things about them.
On the bowmadness I had the set screws on the string stop kept coming loose so check that and might want to use some loc tite if they are loose.
Also check to make sure your sight and rest are screwed in tight so they can't vibrate.
I had a 2010 bowmadness and I don't know if it is like this now but the limb pockets need to have a small gap between them and the riser. That will only be needed if the poundage is cranked all the way up. You can check that in the owners Manual.

I checked all the screws before I shot it the first time. I found a couple that were very loose, but nothing on the limbs. I do think that the string looks "cheep" and I had thought about replacing it. I will take it to a bow shop soon and have the peep changed out and the rest of the bow checked out. Other than the noise and the peep sight I do like the bow though. Oh, I am shooting different arrows than what I shot at the shop. I shoot the gold tip carbon express arrows.
