Needing recurve string..

I just got a recurve bow and it doesn't have a string. Now I'm brand new to recurves and I know nothing about how to measure for string or where to find one.. Maybe some of you guys can help me out.. Is there any traditional pros out there?? Any good places to go buy a string around Bryan college station area??

Measure tip to tip and the string will be 4 inches shorter.
