I got my assassian in Aug. of last year, just this week I turned it up to 70 and now it is louder than when it was turned down. Alot louder and i dont know what it could be. I only was out by 1 full turn so that means it was set at 67 and now its at 70#s. Any ideas of what this could be from???

the string is still between the dots on the cam. Is that what you mean out of tune?

I'm not sure of everything but I know there is a lot more to tuning a bow then just that, sounds like thus the case

Give it the ole thump test, start at one end of the bow start thumping it, could be something loosened up, could be a tune problem, is it your opinion or someone standing next to you as shoot it?

Maybe you just got use to how it sounded. You added more speed and thus a bit more sound.

my buddy standing next to me said that it was louder than before and all i did was turn up the #age. After adding up the gpi of my arrow and my poundage i have 5.2 grains per pound. think i need to get new arrows?

Really? What do you base that on? My Assassin is half as loud as my old Mathews. I shot with a couple of Z7 shooters 3 weeks ago, and they were both surprised at how quiet my Assassin is.

With that said, I have to say Jerry at Rednek Booda tuned it and completely bowjaxed (Limbs, String Stop, Cable Guide,,,,,) it out.

I'd say it needs to be tuned also. Take it to a good shop and let them line everything up properly for you.

My Assassin is quieter than my previous Mathews DXT, Bowtech Guardian, PSE Bow Madness. None of those bows even compare to how quiet my Assassin is, and I have not done anything to it to make it quieter.

My assassin is set at 79 too.. And it's quiet! I'm thinking yours might have gotten out if tune as well..
