    For the arrow builders

I've built a lot of arrows over the years. And this has varied a little, sometimes intentionally. I'm curious to know how far from the back of the shaft to the back of your fletching do you set your fletching? I understand that some fletching jigs have a fixed distance. But some do not. So, how much distance from the back of your fletching to the back of the shaft?

As close to the nock as you can without affecting your anchor (what I had read somewhere). I’ve fletched 1 inch and 7/8 of an inch.

I do 1 1/4" to make sure I don't have any facial contact. Having facial contact with the vanes will do way more to your accuracy than getting the extra 1/4-1/2" closer to the back of the shaft.

As far back as the EZ Fletch allows. Ive got to watch out with the fletching slots gumming up with super glue and making the fletches sit perpetually a smidgeon further forward each shaft.
