    Broadhead weight question

I have been shooting 100-grain 2-blade Rages and Thunderheads for years. Thinking of switching to Slick Tricks after seeing the damage they do. My question is on the weight. I shoot a 2007 Gander Mountain TecHunter Elite(made by Diamond) set at 68 lbs with a DL of 31 1/2 inches. I was told I should be using a 125-grain broadhead because of my arrow length. What is the opinion of the Green Screen? I don't mind losing some fps if it will give me more kinetic energy. I shoot Carbon Express Maxima 350's if that helps. Thanks for any info.

I don't think it will make much difference for all practical purposes but it will give you higher FOC with the 125 gr. The energy would be about the same due to the trade off in weight and FPS.

If you are shooting 100gr broad heads now, switching brands does not mean you need to switch weight. So I would say shoot the 100gr originals or magnums. Just give one a test flight first and see how it goes.

Kinda what I was thinking. I have no problem with either of the broadheads I shoot now, for the most part always get a pass-thru. Thanks guys.

Yeah I wouldn't think it matters. It's kind of a wash

It will give you a little heavier arrow and probably a little more KE and momentum and more FOC, but if you already have a bunch of 100 grain heads, why switch. If you are low and planning on buying new BH's, might be a good time to switch to 125 grain heads. The gains and differences are going to be minimal.

I shoot the 100g slick trick magnums & rage 2 blades. I would stick with the grain you use.
