    Draw board?

I've seen a bunch of people make draw boards lately over at AT, outside of checking cam lean and making sure your DL is true, what are the other benefits of a draw board?

Main benefit IMO is checking the cam timing and rest drop. 1/2 sheet of plywood, a boat winch and a few misc items from Lowes and you have a draw board.

Check the area where you want to set it up and build it so you can keep and arrow nocked and pointed at a backstop just in case. No, that wasn't learned from experiance.

Yep set mine up by bolting a boat winch to my workbench and threading some 1"steel pipe in a ways down.

Good for all the above. Be careful not to overdraw

Best way to keep from overdraw (other than the draw stops) is a turnbuckle so you can adjust it.

I believe if your gonna work on your own bow a draw board along with a press are the two best tools you can have. I use it to check DL, DW, check timing, set drawstops, check let off, set a drop away rest, check string/cable clearances at full draw.

I think I maybe have 200 invested in my tuning equipment. Diy vice and draw board, snap on string and arrow level, portable bow press, diy spinner, and a quality scale

Yes I made a thread about it in the diy section. Let me find it.

                      There you go.

The only thing I'm not super happy about is my clamping system. It's kinda hard to get tight enough on the bow, but it works.
