    Arrow/Sight Question

Forgive the rookie-ness of this question, but I am fairly new to the techical aspects of archery (been shooting on and off for 12 years, but just starting to get really into it again after a 5 yr hiatus).

I picked up a used Mission Eliminator II last week. Set up at 29" 70#. It came with some Gold Tip Expedition Hunter 5575 arrows. I also had some Redhead Carbon Fury arrows from my old bow that I had cut (BPS in pearland was WAY off on my DL...32" DL was actually 29").

The GT weigh in at 8.6 GPI
The CF weigh in at 10.6 GPI

^ This is obvious when shooting. The bow shoots really flat with the GT's. In fact I was using the top pin for 10-20, and the 2nd to the top for 25-30 yards all day on Saturday.

Slung the old CFs downrange and they dropped alot more than the others, obviously. about 4" at 30 yds.

So my question is: I see that alot of you guys here talk about shooting different arrows for different applications out of the same bow. Surely you dont re-zero your pins each time you want to switch arrows, do you? I assume using diff broadheads would have a similar effect...right?

Can someone explain this to me?

I dont shoot mixed arrows, as you have found out, they will shoot different. And yes BH's have the same affect, they fly different, try to be consistant in your shooting and your gear, life will be so much easier.

        2 different arrows= 2 different sights

The problem with 2 different arrows is that you may 2 different tuning issues. This difference cannot be made up by using 2 different sights. I have seen a lot of guys have one set of sights for field points and one for broadheads, but rarely if ever for 2 different arrows.
