    PSE Stinger 3G

My oldest son (16 years) has expressed interest in bowhunting so I'm doing a little "window shopping" and was curious about the stinger 3G. Of course in the end it'll be his choice of bows, within MY price range, as to what he likes the best.

Anyone here seen one, touched one or shot one? Thoughts?

I've heard it's a solid bow, another now I would look at in the same price range would be the Bear charge, which I believe at a cabelas just went on sale for $299 from $399 for the package deal. And check out the Bear strike which is now $399 from $499. Nice bows and GREAT customer service with Bear. Good luck on whatever you choose!

Not sure on the 3g but i shoot a stinger i think its the 2010 model but may be an 09, been a great bow, plenty of shots through it no problems, its also easy to adjust the draw length without needing presses and such, im sure the 3g is even better, imo the stinger line is a very solid bow!

The last PSE I had was a 2007 Mossy Oak X and it was whisper quiet. I assume they are still just as quiet??

I bought the stinger 3g around April '13 and have shot it almost every weekend. Its a great bow and I have zero complaints about it. Its comfortable in my hands, and feels great. I would also add that it shoots better after the first professional tuning. And I would recommend taking it to a trusted bow shop to do so, not Gander Mtn, although i do like that store.

I bought at 2013 stinger 3g and it's an amazing bow. I can confidently hit a credit card sized target at 40+ yards and that's pretty impressive (to me anyways) with a bow that is their starter model. It's very quiet and shoots very well. Not to mention that it is very adjustable so when your son grows it can grow with him. All around definitely a thumbs up.

I had a stinger, and sold it after 3 months. I would look at the Assassin, Charge, and the Brute.

I shot the bow for 6 months hated it it is so loud draw length screw gets loose after while I sold it and converted to bowtech I'm was not surprised in the fact that pse was not a good bow there just to loud and hard to pull back

I have a PSE Stinger that I purchased back in 2010 and I really enjoy it! Haven't had any issues with it.
