    Diamond Razor Edge Question

This is my third year to bow hunt but this is my first year to own my own bow. The previous two i used a buddys. I bought the diamond razor edge about 3 montsh ago and it is the first bow i have ever owned. I chose this bow bc i had done some research and noticed it was a great bow to start off with and a lot of people gave it good reviews. Also, i just graduated college so money was a bit of an issue so i looked for a good inexpensive bow.

I have yet to harvest an animal with yet but everytime i shoot i notice and friends have noticed too that when i release an arrow my bow makes like a thumping noise once it is released. Im really starting to worry about the first time i release an arrow at an animal they will jump my string. I have tried adding an additional string silencers to see if that helped and still makes the same noise. A buddy mentioned this past weekend that i try and take my quiver off and see if that helps. The quiver is the original one that came with the bow that is two pieces attached to the bow.

For you experts, guys who own a razor edge, or who have once owned a razor edge have yall experienced this noise??? If so what is causing it?? What can i do to fix it or minimize the noise at least?? Any help would be greatly appreciated...sry for the long read

I think taking off the quiver would be a good start, I had a problem with an older bow and a mount style quiver making noise in the past. I use a detachable quiver now and always keep it detached when I shoot, and have never had a problem with noise. I would say to try a string stop, but I don't think the Razor's Edge has the screw port to install a string stop. Could also install some Sims LimbSavers to the limbs. Shoot without the quiver and see if the noise still persists.

I agree with talking off the quiver and make sure all of the screws are on tight.

X2 on the screws. They can make a lot of noise when their not tightened.

My youngest son shoots a Razors Edge. When we first got it, I removed the original 2 piece quiver and put on a removable one. We do not experience the noise you are talking about so that may in fact be your answer. Worth a shot. Good luck.

Most aftermarket string-stops are made for both front and rear attachment. Limbsaver string suppressors are available at most places and have an adapter that allows for a stabilizer too. Just make sure you serve the contact point on the string.
