Oddly enough i just went back to them today, i tried them last year and then went back to blazers for the rest of the time. Only thing i dont like about them is that i keep having to replace them if i aim for the same spot, keep breaking them! Other than that i love mine.

I have asked some more experienced archer friends about them and they all blow them off as a 'fad'. But they sound cool to me.
Does anyone have BAD experience with them? (Not their looks, not them popping off when going through an animal, etc. - but 'bad' experience with their flight, etc.)

I have them and on my arrows. They will shoot any broad heads that I put in my sticks.

The only down side is the shoot through screens.
If you use lighted knocks they defeat the whole purpose of the knock. You will not be able to use the light to find your arrow.

I have not lost an arrow or animal after shooting one.

Well that sucks, I was wanting to use BC's illuminocks too.

They do not tolerate contact, at the Bow, on the way to the target or at the target. If you use them then forget group shooting, one arrow per spot. Unlike a vane than can flex a bit to clear a limb or stick on in-flight contact the FOB is rigid and will get all out of focus.

FOBS are attatched to your arrow via the nock, so unless you glued in your nocks when you installed them (which you don't do) you won't have a problem with them NOT popping off when you send an arrow through an animal.

I had some on my arrows a few weeks ago, but quickly switched back to blazers. Even after paper tuning my bow with regular fletched arrows, I was hearing a "whistle" as the arrows flew toward my target.

Also if you're going with FOBS, I'd suggest getting some brightly-colored arrow wraps (from Cameron maybe? ) to make your arrow more visible because if you are shooting a pretty much dark black arrow (I shoot GT ProHunters) like I do and your arrow buries under the ground or deep weeds/grass you might not recover your arrow. I have 2 arrows lost somewhere in the vast expanse of my backyard because of this exact thing happening, which at about $25 an arrow gets pretty expensive fast.

Furthermore, if you're shooting groups you are gonna tear the FOBs up pretty quick. Being made of hard plastic, they don't allow other arrows to "slide" by one another as they hit the target.

Other than those little things, they certainly do as advertised.

No worries man. It was an honest question. I had been looking at them online and was wondering how they get through the bisquit.

Been using them a long time. Work great for me cause I get to use the broadhead I like.

The FOB's are a lot tougher than they seem. I hate shooting different spots and have torn up a few, but not many. There are videos on ytube about guys actaully cutting parts of the FOB's off and seeing how they fly and amazingly, they fly almost identically as a new one. I do use wraps on my arrows and have never used lighted nocks and really do not plan on using them, so that has no bearing on my using FOB's. I have some that are roughed up pretty good and thye still fly perfect. They may whistle a little, but that animal is going to hear the sound of the bow before they hear the whistle of the FOB. These are not a fad and this experienced archer (40+ years if that qualifies as experienced) really likes them. I have had them since 08 and have not had one single problem with them. Some people will tell you anything that is new in the bowhunting world is a fad.
