MX# vs. 3 blade 100 gran which do you prefer?

I use the regular 3 blade 100gr just because they are a little cheaper, and Im not sure what makes the MX series any better thant the regulars.

I shot regular 3 blade Muzzy for years, never had a complaint, always did the job. Went to the MX3 when they came out, little larger cutting diameter, shorter broadhead supposed to fly better, but I never had a problem with the regular 3 blade. Tried the Rage 2 blade, Bloodrunner 2 blade, and while they are devaststing, I've had very few pass through with them, and on a couple occasions very slight blood trails on hogs with Bloodrunner. Am ready to go back to the Muzzys mainly cause I like a pass thru if I can get one so hopefully get blood out of both sides

I've always used the 4 blade Muzzy's, simply because more blades = more cut

I use the standard 3 blade. I've tried a few different heads, started with Magnus Stingers that came with my first bow, got my first deer with them, but zero blood trail. Switched to the Rage, and killed one deer with them, no blood trail needed because I made a bad shot and hit her in the neck, dropped in her tracks. Killed several hogs with Rage, some with good trails and some with so/so trails. Just switched to the Muzzys this year and killed a small pig opening weekend. He didn't go 20 yards, but he would have been easy to track, good trail.

I shot two deer this past weekend with the muzzy 4 blades. They only have a 1" cut I made perfect shots, the arrow zipped through but very little blood trail. One of the deer was a little difficult to find b/c of the small blood trail. Have you ever encountered this problem?

i recently switch from regular 3 blade to mx3s and noticed that i had to line the vanes up with the blades on them to get all the arrows to hit the same spot. wasnt the case with the regulars or the 4 blades....they fly perfect now. the 4 blades did fly the best outta all 3. i switched from the to the 3 blades after i had a spike keep a arrow this year. i went and did a test with the 3 and 4 blades and the 3blades got better penetration on my morrel than the 4 blades...like 6inches better. i shot a doe the next day with the 3 blades, quartering away went throgh offside shoulder and 6 inches into ground...she went 40 yds with a blood trail that i could even follow. but, the doe i shot with the 4 blade went 10ft. but i only hit ribs on her.

im guessing that i had to line the blades/vanes up because the mx3 has a shorter ferrule and a steeper angle, taller blades. idk...imo

I went to them when I had several broken shafts on G5's Plus they get better penetration on my wifes arrows shooting lower poundage.

I shoot the regular 3 blades and they work like a champ. I really like them.
