    Arrow Spine

How do you choose your arrow spine? I have been trying to get me bow tuned in and have been experimenting with arrow spine. The chart says I should be shooting a 340, but tried some 400 just to see what would happen. The orange vanes are 340, the green are 400. If I understand it correctly, if using the incorrect spine your groups would change. These are the same results I'm getting consistently. So how would you choose?

shoot from further away or with broadheads and that will tell yo if your spine is right. Your groups will spread out pretty good with BHs.

Had a slight left tear with the 340, slightly improved with the 400. I guess I'll go ahead and switch to broadheads and see what happens. Just wanted to be as close as possible to prior to screwing up expensive stuff. Thanks for the tips guys.

that is like my old set up almost to the T, except I was shooting a 28" arrow but my bow was a 29"draw. I used 400's and thats what the chart called for. I would go with 400's

400's is what I would say...

but when deciding, I look at what they do through paper, as well as my groups at longer distances.. for me 60yds. at this distance little differences are big differences

You could probably shoot either but a 400 arrow would probably shoot better. Like others have said, shoot some broadheads and that will tell you which arrow is too weak or too stiff.

If you haven't already done it, download Easton's tuning guide to help you with tuning.
