    Swhacker Broadheads

Has anyone ever used Swhacker broadheads? I personaly think they look kind of corny but I watched a vid of a nice deer get doubled lunged and man!! the blood was pouring in buckets!! quick!!

The only way you are going to get the big cut they advertise is if there is a pass threw. The blades will not deploy until the BH has gone threw the skin. Terrible design IMO!

Or you could just use a RAGE, instead.
Come on; someone was gonna say it

They appear to be a good design. But I haven't shot anything with them. Ole Thunderhead has yet to let me down. So for now, the Swhackers are just sitting here. I plan to shoot a pig or doe with them to see how they do.

Most that post that the design is not good have no idea waht this head is about. It will leave a lot larger entrance hole than what most think and this is not from random observation, this is from a couple of years of shooting this head and killing quiet a few animals with them and having massive blood trails without complete pass thrus. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, as I am and this head is a very good head and will leave a lot better entrance holes and exit holes than most. Then main blades will open right at the level of the skin or right ofter the pass the skin, but the outer blades will cut and push the skin inwards and cut a hole a lot larger than the 1" advertised initial cut. Heck most heads are only 1 1/8" advertised cuts and thye leave hole bigger than 1 1/8" on entry. Like I said I have shot these heads and they perform as well as any mechanical on the market if not better than some and I would not hesistate to use them again.

That's good info. I've thought of trying some but just havenj't done it yet and don't really want to mid season.

Not sure when the Aftershock heads cam out, but the Swacker has been around since the early 90's. Formally known as the Sonoran Broadhead designed by Rick Forrest from Arizona.

I have used the swhacker for 2 yrs. really good BH. However, a friend of mine told me they are not very good for hogs, i have yet to shoot a pig with one. for deer and javalinas, they work awesome.....mucho blood!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
