        I think it's more of a preference and even with the top shooters, there probably not a noticeable difference out to 50 yds+. I do believe it will make the flight of the arrow with a fixed blade more stable and forgiving. This is the main reason why I did that and want to make my setup as forgiving and accurate with fixed blade and not worry about occasional flyers. I don't worry too much about speed (260fps now) when hunting as long as I have a deadly accurate setup. I owe the animals I'm hunting that much.

          I have been fletching my arrows with 4 mini Blazers for about 5 years now. Great stabilization with even larger cutting Silver Flames out past 50 yards.

              You'll see better stabilization but also a loss of speed due to increased drag. You can also do a 4 vane fletch with an arizona ez fletch. It has instructions for how many clicks to do the different 4 vane configurations.

                i've tried both 3 fletch or 4 fletch,, no big difference,,, if you want them for indoor spot used four flech if using heavy, heavy points..
