    cable keeps getting cut

I shoot a 08 diamond black ice and just had a new string and cable put on yesterday and when I was shooting today I noticed the serving on the cable right above the cam is all chewed up. the same place and reason I had it restrung. any body have the same problem or know what is causing it and how to fix it?

Check your cam and make sure it don't have a sharp edge or burr that is catching your string.

Also check where the cables and strings attach to your cam. That "T" on mine had a burr and it blew on me at full draw one day. Left one heck of a welt.

yeah that little channle it's supposed to sit in once the cam rotates has a wicked sharp edge on it. can I just file it down and reserve it?

i would use sand paper work your way down in grits until you have the finest grit you can get so it is super smooth and no burr's

who changed out you string and cables? You'd like to think they might've observed that, as part of their check list, but maybe I just expect too much.........

I had a similar problem on a martin single cam bow years ago... it blew up on me eventually because I kept shooting it like a 'tard... that one was because of cam-lean... Didn't have the $$ to replace the limbs, axle, and cam at the time...
