    Outlaw Draw Weight Question

I picked up a new Outlaw a few weeks ago at Cabelas since I was in the city and they had one to shoot. I love the bow but have a question about the DW. The sticker on the limb states that the max DW is 70lbs. The tech told me it was set at 62# and 29" DL as I requested because that is what I had setup on my old PSE lightning Flite 2. I didn't want to purchase new arrows.
Upon getting home It shot great. I love the bow but it only mesured 53# on my digital scale. I maxed the limb screws all the way in and it measured 61#. Is there some math I am overlooking or is this bow just mis-marked. If it is only 60# thats just fine with me because I don't intend to go any heavier on DW. Just asking.

Have you calibrated your digital scale to ensure it isn't off?

If it is dead on, they've clearly miss marked the bow. Cabela's is good about returns, so no worries there, its more or less do you want to exchange it if you're dialed in and shooting well.

I've been considering that bow. Glad to read you like the bow.

The digital scale is totally dead on. It shoots great. I totally love it. I don't have a need to pull any more weight so exchange is not necessary. I was only wanting to get some other opinions on the possible mis-labeling.

i have shot a fugitive and dead eye at bass pro and both times there was a factory tag on the bow stating the draw length, weight and individuals name that certified the bow. these tags were left on while i shot both bows, did yours have them?

I have an email in to bowtec. The limb numbers are V02872 / 20-134. Maybe somebody here can cross reference them and tell me if they are rated for 60 or 70lbs.

Does the tag on the lower limb state it is a 60 or 70 lb bow? It sounds like the tech might have gotten confused about which bow he handed you or that bowtech put the wrong sticker on.

The sticker shows 70 that is part of the origional issue. I am thinking the wrong sticker was placed on this bow. All things considered 60# is plenty. I'm extremely proud of this purchase regardless.
