I use the little goose and love it. I once bought the cheapest release money could buy and for a while it worked fine but it will break sooner than later and it will usually happen at the most inopportune time. Get as good of a release as you can afford for the reliability aspect.
Little goose is a good release. I shoot the spothagg wise guy, it is more exspensive but I love it. Find a release that fits you well, Either the strap is adjustable or just fits right. Also Look for a release with NO trigger travel as this is important in makeing you shot count. I also look for a release with an adjustable trigger. The little goose has an adjustable trigger. You want an adjustable trigger you you can set how hard you need to pull the trigger. Everyone is differnt but i like a really really light trigger where I know I will not have to worry about pulling the trigger or if i torque the bow a small bit when pulling the trigger. I say go to an academy, cabelas, bass pro and shoot whichever releases you like and see which one fits you the best.
I like the Little Goose because the release head is on the rope, and it easily swings out of the way if you want to get something out of your pocket, or have to use your right hand without the release being in the way.
Did you guys who own one know Scott recommends you replace the rope every year? After 10 years I checked mine and it was fraying and needed to be replaced.
I don't like having one tied to my hand, so I shoot the Cobra Archery Pro Caliper Target Release for about $30, and have a strap-on style cobra that works fine also. Never had an issue with either.
