Limbsavers on a split limb bow?

I have these on my monster and see a lot of folks that dont. Are they worth it and what are the drawbacks. Also, Is there a certain spot, (up or down) on the limb where they work best or are more effective?

    Thanks,

    Ty

I shoot a Monster 6 myself. After you put them on you will feel and hear the differance. Closer to the cam the better. Draw Backs ?? There are is no draw back that I have ever had put Limbsavers on any bow...

I have (had) a set on my Hoyt that are several years old. They've started to deteriorate (sticky surface, chunks coming off) and I wrote to Sims Lab to see if they'd replace them. Haven't heard back yet, but either way, I'll replace them.

            I have to ask.
Do you think they should replace them?
