    QAD question

I finally got to the bow shop and had them reset my QAD so that the launchers do not hit the shelf when the fall. We also paper tunned while I was there. TOday I am shooting and notice a few vanescoming off while I am shooting along with poor grouping. I start to investigate and now notice that both of my downward vanes have black streaks on them from where they are making contact with the QAD launchers. I take a look at the QAD to make sure it is falling away far enough and that sems good. I also make sure that in the caapture postion that it is slightly forward and at 90 degrees at full draw. Any suggestions on what might be going on?

never mind, I think I found the problem. Looks like my nock is set way too high! It looks to be 3/8" to 1/2" high. I sure wish I could find a good bow shop. Both shops around here are starting to *&*$ me off. Very inconsitant in there quality of work. Prolem is they both seem to worry about getting people in and out instead of quality of service.

Is the cord running through the cable, or are you using the clamp?

Try rotating your arrows 180 degrees so the cock vane is up.

The way I understand his post, his cock vane is up, and his hen vanes are contacting prongs.

You might have to put the tall launcher on the rest... 90% of the time I see contact on the bottom two hen vanes that solves the problem

if you have the ultra hunter then you are having your prongs bouncing back up catching your vanes . i had same problem with mine. i change mine out with the HD it locks down when you shoot.

Thanks guys for all of you input and help. I actually was looking at it wrong as my nock point was that high in the launchers down but when cocked it went to level. SHould be nock high 1/8"-1/4" at cockedpostiton so what happened was that the when the shop raised my rest to prevent otfrom hitting my shelf they did not raise my nock. Took it back today and had them raise the nock and it fixed my problem. THanks everyone
