    Martin Z-Cam string jumped off

Set up my Martin for my son and today the string jumped off the cam after a shot. The bow has never done this. All we did was reduce the draw length with a module change and reduced the draw weight screws. Draw weight is set a 58 which is under the 60 starting weight. Do you think we un-screwed the limbs to far and there flexing?

i had a hoyt do that to me at full draw.almost put my eye out. they guy behind conter try o say i dryed fired the bow,but i still had the string in my grip from when i drew back the bow. had to get the manager and the vidow cam recording to prove i was right. made the retard behind the counter fell bad, even after i coght him in a lie trying to say all there bows shot over 350fps. i was like your ful of crap.went on to explane my self to the other customer, telling him what bow i had and pointing it out to him. dont trust every noobbehind the counter at any store, they are there to sell products that is all. you have to ask questions that you already know the answers and test them before u trust that what they say is true.,but you shoud never unsrew the limbs on your bow, take it to a bowshop that you trust and have them ajust the poundage of the bow.

I'm assuming he was using a release right? I don't ever draw back a compound without a release. The shallow groove cams are way too easy to pop that string out by drawing with your fingers and torquing the bow. That's why most shops are against letting customers draw without a release.

Torqueing of the bow due to it being drawn with out an release will cause the string to jump off. Is this the case?

Nope he was using a release. The tech said his arrows were to light, so they put heavier points on them. Odd, but I guess it makes a little sense.
