String question

I was shooting a 09 martin saber and have put in an order for new strings. I just got my hands on an 09 martin bengal. At first glance on the martin website I was relieved to see that the string sizes were the same, saving me from ordering another set. But, when I picked up the bengal it has the CCS on it instead of the slide which adds a half inch to the shoot string. Do I have to bite the bullet and order a new shoot string or can the half inch shorter string be made to work??
Any info is appreciated.

I think it would work. Lay them down side by side and make your it's not more than that.

I will order the shoot string for the new bow.
I guess I am really trying to think through he mechanics of what is going on.
If The shoot string is .5" to short it seems the cable would end up to long requiring that twists be put in to shorten it.
Possible negative outcomes??
Over rotating the cam?
Added stress on the limbs?
Torque issues with the cam?
I really want some understanding not someone to tell me its OK. I like to do things right.
Trying to soak it all up and learn.

i think its a bad idea, but call martin and get their input. as far as twisting the string thats the wrong move strings come with paper clips threw the loops so the twists stay the same at all times
