Victory VAP's are the way to go

I just got a dozen VAP .300 spine V6 arrows from Archeyholic in Castroville. I am shooting a 2011 Pulse at 68# with a 28.5" draw. The arrow is 426 grains and is shooting 287 fps. The energy is ridiculous and a bag target is a must to protect the fletchings.

I was shooting Beman ICS arrows at about 380 grain. I could only shoot a select few, small broadheads out to 60 yards. Now with the new arrows I am shooting all of my broadheads including the larger sized Muzzy Phantoms out to 50 yards. The arrows fly hard and hit very hard. The weight on the front and the spine seems to correct any flight issues with broadhead.

Alain at Archeryholic is very good at what he does. He set up my bow using a computer program and the bow was paper tuned and sighted in before I ever shot the new arrows. When I left his shop I was dead on out to 80 yards with a seven pin sight, and never shot it until I got home.

Hope they work out for you. Search this forum, some members have had bad experiences with them.

Ya, I read some reviews. That's why I posted a positive review.

The bow was sighted in out to 80 yards FOR YOU, before you ever shot it?

You are dang lucky if someone or something sighted in your bow for you and the pin settings did not change when you shot it. Glad to see you got Victoy's to work for you. I tried several and could never get them to tune for me.

Believe me, when I left the shop I was just sha1king my head being very skeptical. But it worked. My first three shots at 50 yards was a 2" group, with my broadheads. I shot it at 20 and it was on to the point I new I would hit the target at 50 if the pins were spaced correctly so I went directly to 50 to see if it would work.

His program takes every little detail about your bow and arrow match, and spits out a sheet showing all kinds of info from fps to stored energy. Then we drew the bow and measured the distance from the arrow to the peep sight and from the peep to the pin guard. He put that in the program and it put out a print that had a strip the length of the sight guard. He cut out the strip, put it to the site, and adjusted the pins to the marks. He primarily deals with elites so he knew to put the site block all the way down, and it was done.

I'm sure it was a touch of luck, but he was confident and fully expected it to work.

Keep a watch on the half-out inserts, they are prone to bending.

So have you shot the Bemans since you did everything to the bow? I got a 3" group from 5 arrows at 40 yrds with the ICS's with a ST, Muzzy, a G5 and 2 different Magnus heads. All 5 are 100 grn. Glad you are shooting well thugh. Sometimes it is more about your confidence in the equipment than the equipment itself.

x2-true! I REALLY liked these, until the outserts started bending and causing erratic flight. Maybe they have fixed them, and hope you don't have the same problem.
