There are drawbacks to the FOB's. They may make you change your anchor if the FOB contacts your face at full draw, you have to use a drop away rest that is timed right and it is hard on them if you do not shoot at different spots. I have broken some shooting at the same spot, but some of the ones that are not completely broken have flown just a good as the ones that are not broken. They never contacted my face so i did not have that problem and I was already shootin a drop away and it was timed to accept the FOB's with no changes.

They may sound expensive, but if i break one I can have a new arrow ready to shoot before you can decide if you want to cut of the one vane or feather and get your fletcher and stuff set up to refletch one vane or feather. I hate to refletch arrows so to me they are a godsend! I have also shot them when they were busted up pretty good with no noticeable difference in arrow flight or impact.
