I shoot the Mayhems too, for the extra weight. My shafts are 26" with 100 gr heads and weigh out at 400 grains with blazers. I shoot 60 lbs even, and have a 28" DL, and getting 271 fps, more than enough for deer (but I hunt big hogs ). If I were shooting a very heavy poundage bow of 70 and up, then I'd look at the Pile Drivers. Lots of momentum there! But slow from a low poundage bow. PD would be a good trad arrow too, for weight and penetration.
I shoot Beman MFX 340s, which are micro diameter and they weigh a little more and penetrate better than the ICS Hunters, know this from pulling them outta my targets...68lbs,28DL
I shoot fmj 340 cut at 26" at 27.5" dl. Arrows with 100gr tip weigh 475gr. Shootin it at 67#. 251fps, super quite. Im thinkin bout tryin pd cause of price of fmj.whats finish like on them? I need slick finish for my wb rest. Thanks
