    QAD drop away

Does anyone have a good method to keep the cord on a QAD LD/HD on the back of the release? I've been shooting mine and really have to pay attention to the cord, if it's on the "front" of the release it drops it prior to full draw.

I've never had this problem. Try waxing your cord to keep it stiffer. Maybe that will help

Not sure what you mean either by this. [if it's on the "front" of the release]

Are you saying that the rest falls before you release the arrow? It sounds like you need to have it checked out by a tech. Take it to your shop and have them look at it. If is something mechanically wrong they should replace it if it is a Ultra Pro Series.

Sorry, I confused it by saying "release" rather than the rest itself, my fault. In the attached pic, the cord is coming off the rear of the rest, toward the downward traveling cable. After a couple of shots, the cord wants to "move" to the front of the rest, which isn't the drop-away location.

Is the cord to long maybe? I haven't ever heard of that being a problem. Maybe try the wax method to keep it stiffer but my first thought is the cord must be to long to be able to get around front of the rest. Is it getting in front of the entire rest or just the launcher?

Look's like the cord is to long.

I say the cord is long. I had the shorten mine. The fork wasn't clearing the fletchings and shortening it up fixed it right away.

The cord is attached per the instructions "below the grip" and pulls the rest up in the last couple of inches of the draw cycle.

I'll try to wax it as been suggested, and may go with the Ripcord I have now.

Get rid of the clamp, split cable and run cord thru cable 3 inches below rest,(should be under cable serving, if not put about 3/4 inch serving on cable, on top of cord) and with rest in up position, pull cord tight.
Draw the bow, cord will slip thru cable until full draw, marks should line up.
                            Done.
Easiest fall-away for me to set up.

No clamp used, its served it in. I will shorten it up, and by shorten I mean move cord serving up the cable toward rest.
