    Stabilizer - Long or Short????

I have been thinking about shooting a few ASA 3D shoots this year to keep “sharp” for hunting season. I have been advised to enter the senior open class. I am 57 years old; shoot a single pin movable HHA sight on a z7 w/ a 6 inch stabilizer.

I have also been told I should get a longer stabilizer.

I have a few questions. If I go with a longer stabilizer, what length should I get?

Will switching back to the short stabilizer during hunting season effect my overall shooting?

Will going back and forth from long to short create problems?

Should I consider getting some type of thumb release rather than the wrist release I have used for years?

    Thanks

Just use your hunting set up, keep it simple.. You will need to slow the bow down to 280 fps though.

With my short draw and 60 pounds I would have to speed it up to reach 280.

Thanks for the common sense answer.
