    Arrow Question for yall.

We have all lost arrows, burying them in the ground, had game run off with em, they fall out of the quiver.

Is there tracking devices out there to locate arrows? and if not why hasnt somebody jumped on this?

Keep em light weight and mount them as a carbon insert? or a nock?

The tecnology is there: I found this one, anybody ever used em?

    http://www.turkeyhuntingsecrets.com/...ter-system.htm

But it seems it only works once shot.

There are some ideas out there.....but to me and arrow is just ammo.......you dont get many reloads when you run your arrow through and animal....

Correct but this could help you locate a downed animal. (with arrow lodged in him)

Or just retrieve your broadhead and lighted nock. I spend quite a bit on one arrow and even it it breaks I want to get my other stuff off of it.

Broadheads and Lighted nocks aint cheap! I would spend some extra money to ensure I got em back! Even if the arrow broke.

I think all the Archery shops that sell arrows are gonna jump all over a product like this.

explain? because it would bring down sells of arrows?

Or they would sell a lot of the arrow trackers?

If a product designed to locate arrows cost more than $100, customers probably wouldn't buy it.
If it cost considerably less, archery shops would not make enough on it to promote it, while at the same time, it would cost arrow sales if it did work.
I hate to lose arrows just like anybody else, but I do like selling them to those that do.
Arrows are not big money in the shop, but it is cash flow, and if you do good work on arrows, customers return for other products.

Got it. Then you and I need to get together and invent a cheap one then you and I wont have to worry about the money any more!

Remember the old string tracker, good Lord, I went on a hunt at Brushy Hill some years back, and it was like spider webs in the brush!

Ya I never went for the string. Looked like a mess! This would be a newer more tech savy less mess type thing!

Intresting idea, but at the bottom of the page it shows to be discontinued. I agree that for this to be sold the price would have to be low but then the cost of arrows would go up, which I don't want. So.. Back to looking in the brush.

Looks like that is a discontinued item. It is 2011 and if there were a cost effective, non-intrusive tracking system available that was reliable then it would be out there.

As Rocky said, don't make much money on arrows sales but brings the customer back into the store. Now lets say this device is only $5.00each, much like the price of a lighted nock. How many would have 6? Only $30.00 but almost half the price of "some "arrows. Now how many have lost arrows, and how many? I get pass thrus on all the animals so that would not help for most that do. If they run on batteries, how long before the battery would die and you lose both the arrow and the device. Just showing why no one has made one of these, or trying to pursue the building of this device. Devils advocate!
