    Got my Athens

my Accomplice 34 just arrived from CO. I cannot believe how silky smooth the draw is on it. Solid wall. No shoulder jerk if I creep a little bit like the Hoyt AM35 did. The grip is a dream, and it feels like I can hold at full draw all day at any position. The black satin finish is just sexy. I don't understand why there aren't more dealers.

what kind of speeds are you guys getting. I'm at 28.5-29" draw w 60# limbs. Not sure what it's maxed at. I will be finding out soon. The chrony at the shop is broken so I won't know speed for awhile.

The reason there are not more dealers is name recognition. Dealers have a hard time selling them against top name advertised bows. How many archers have even heard of Athens outside of a following on AT?
At 61# 30in draw with 398gr arrow I'm getting 279fps that's a little short of IBO, but for smooth as it shoots I'll live with it.

pm me your email addy and I'll send em to ya to post. I can't do it. My only internet is my phone.
if it shoots as good as it feels, I'll be splittin the hairs on a fly's *** in no time. I can't wait to shoot it. Headed to the pro shop after lunch to dial it in. May end up going w larger pins on my Viper H100. The small .010 pins don't work well w my eyes.

just got back from the pro shop. I used the Viper sight and trophy taker rest off my Hoyt. Installed both, served in the cable for the rest and adjusted center shot. Didn't adjust the sight at all from what it was on the Hoyt and still was dead on at 10yds. I thought it was just because I was so close to the target. Shot again when I got home and the 25yd pin is good from 10-25yds and 35yd pin is dead on. Haven't shot beyond that yet. My pin gap is 1/16" between the 2.

I'm more impressed w the draw cycle, overall balance/handling,noise level(equal to the AM35 IMO),no hand shock, I could ask for a better grip for my hand. Steady against the base of my thumb w all fingers totally relaxed.

I hope Athens sticks around for awhile.
