    Mathews cam timing ??

How are the newer cams set to proper rotation? In particular, the Z7. Older Mathews cams had 2 small holes that made an imaginary line and that line was to be parallel to the string for the cam to be in proper rotation. Anyone got a good description and pic on how they are set nowdays?

Cable should be centered in the big hole in the cam.

well, as it turns out...was shootin' my Z7 couple days ago and recognized it was ringing after flingin' some arrows...noticed one of the monkey tails came off the shootin' string...so I thought, well it must be that...after investigating my bow, I remembered this thread and the whole Mathews cam timing issue...there it was, my timin' window and string were off...took it in to the local dealer and told him what it was doing...before I could get the words "monkey tails" he looked down and said hell yeah it's ringin' in the key of "G", your bows outta tune...so he fixed it up and slapped a couple a new tails on the shootin' string and all that for a coke...heck of a guy...Archery Plus in Edinburg...if you're ever down this a way and need a tunin'...look Charlie up...
