Looks like it cracked all the way through. I haven't had that happen to any of mine yet and hopefully they never do

That is all I have been shooting the last few years with no problems.Any idea what it hit or caused that?

Here's one that hit the target and snapped in two

You are not supposed to shoot those steel targets with them, Jon Paul! JK

Does show they are not indestuctable.

I just think they are stronger than the average carbon. But they are not indestuctable

Wow I havent seen that before. My buddy just switched from those because the aluminum was holding memory and all his arrows were wobbling in flight.

Better result than the alternative, if that were carbon we'd be seeing hospital pic of them digging carbon fibers out of his knuckles

Looks like the carbon broke and the aluminum tried to hold. It sounded funny on the shot. I think it occurred because they penetrate to well. I am all ways pulling the out of the back stop. I feel very fortunate. I think I will be buying new arrows regularly from now on.

I also shot Axis FMJ 300 with my 55# recurve and i have to say that these shaft are very tough and penetrate very well!! but i also cracked some of these..
after i failed a deer target the arrow hit the frozen ground and after i pulled it out i saw that it cracket. there was the half brass insert left in the arrow, the other half, the point and a piece of shaft i never found..

now i switched to axis n fused because the FMJ were a bit too heavy for me (650grains) and i also love them but the n fused carbon isnt that tough

That is good to know! As stated above I think that the carbon shattered and broke the aluminum
