    Ultra Light Set-Ups

Anyone else out there like me who lays awake at night thinking of ways to lighten their setup?

Interested in what the lightest sight and capture rests weights are. Any thoughts?

I could spend money and maybe sacrifice performance in other areas, or I could work out for free. I'm not too worried about weight.

most bows are weighing in at 3.5-4.5 lbs out of the box. With accessories added you might be tipping the scales at 6-7lbs and that's high figure. Most aren't worried about it as long as their bow is quiet, accurate, and stabile, and get the killin done.

Bow weight depends on how far I walk. With today's bows stabilizers are not neccessary.
I like my arrows attached to the bow, got use to it in the mountains.
If you walk 2 to 5 miles per hunt weight is an issue. If you walk 200yds to a stand it is not an issue.

Perhaps I might have done a better job of explaining my thought process... Ooops! As Old Killer has stated, I was intending my query towards back country spot and stalk hunts at elevation where you pack in all you need for a week, not so much stand, blind or flatland hunts. For example, the Hoyt Carbon Element is touted at 3.6 Lbs, what would it take to outfit this bow and keep it under 5 lbs. I can go either way with quiver location (On bow or pack), so that is a plus. I was just looking to see if anyone else had weighed their sights and capture rests to see if the under 5 Lbs. goal was even feasable. My current Z7 Extreme comes in at around 5.4 Lbs outfitted, and as light as it is, there has to be a combination that could beat it.
I do understand that this is an OCD thing, and that is okay with me!
