    Cam MegaPixle?

What is a good MP to use? I have never used a trail/game cam before, and just want something cheaper. Is flash or IR better?

You don't need lots of megapixels. I have a fairly cheap TC with 2 megapixels. I get well over 1,000 pictures on my card. The more megapixels, the less pictures the card will hold. Plus, I'm just trying to see what comes to my feeder - I'm not needing high def pictures to publish in a magazine.

IR does not have the range of the flash, but does not "spook" the critters like the flash. If your wanting this for Hood, cheap is your watchword. Along with chain it to the tree or stake.

Flash has 10 times better pics but more likely to get stolen. IR cameras have alot better battery life so all depends what your looking for. Most cams nowadays are IR. Primos Truth cam's are great cameras and the wildgame innovations battery packs hook up to them for solid 1-2 months battery life in field. All for under $200.

Go look at threads i have started on them with pics posted. have 3 and love them and my uncle has 2.
