    Release Question

I am currently using a wrist release and am thinking about a thumb release, could someone please give me the pros and cons?

Pros- If you shoot it with your back muscles (backtension)
    you wont punch it.
You can hang it on your D-loop and its allways ready.
    Easy to put on D-loop.
    Very adjustable
Get a Carter Very crisp trigger

Cons- Can drop it out of tree.
    Changes your anchor
    Changes draw length

Thanks for the info. Looking into Carter's but they sure are proud of them, might be more than I want to spend on a release.

contrary to popular belief thumb trigger releases do NOT change your draw length, only your anchor point. You might actually find you can decrease your DL to where it needs to be. Carter is the best of the best, and that is why the carry the cost. All major manufacturers of zero trigger travel thumb releases will not be cheap. Stanslawski and Tru Ball included. You can find some deals on used ones if you look long enough.
