    bowtech assassin 2011

    hello together!

Im considering buying a compound 8just for fun bedide trad archery) and dont want to spend alot of bucks for a top o the line model....

I dont know why but i like the brand "bowtech" mybe because my "first time" was with a bowtech 82nd airborne...

i looked at different bows for a reasonable price but couldnt find anything!

Then today i visited the hunters friend homepage and found a sweet ready to hunt package with a bowtech assassin 2011 for 699 bucks with everything needed!

what are your opinions about this bow? Is it good deal? Have anyone shot this sweet looking thing?

How accurate and forgiving is it?(im new to compound and dont want a too fast little beasty bow)

    Thanks alot!

    Daniel

Ps: i have read that the hostage arrow rest is crap because the brushes wear too fast... true?

      jep its true 599$

but 699 for ready to hunt: with case, release, 6 arrows and boradheads so i think if ill buy it ill take the one for 699 cause 100 bucks for a release, hard case, arrows and broadheads is not very expensive...

Buy a bow based on how it feels to you...shoot a few, sometimes the fastest are a chore to shoot compared to some more forgiving models.

That is a good lil bow. Don't get hung up on brand names. Go out and shoot every bow with the price range you want to spend. Don't even look at the brand just shoot it and if you like it put it down on a list, narrow it down and make a selection based on what you like.

Yes this is what i usually do with my trad bows..

but the problem is that here in Austria compoundbows arent very common..
there is no shop in know that have compounds and i dont know where i should try them.. in my archery club there are some but only high end bows like pse x force omen and other bows that cost 1500$ and abouve fully equipped...

and all of them are imported for the USA...

            thats my problem....

i like the QAD ultra, you can draw back and let down and it will stay cocked. it only lets down when you fire the bow or make the rest cycle by hand.

QAD or Rip Cord for sure

Shot it side by side again today next to the "Invasion". For $300 LESS the ASSASSINE blew the doors off in every feature (for me)............and shot the same arrow at same poundage, at same dl..........the SAME SPEED (actually 1 fps faster)

                            Nice to hear this!

But i just saw that it is only about 30" A2A...

Most compoundarchers in my club dont recommend such a short bow for a compound newbie; they say short bows arent forgiving at all and itll be hard for me to be accurate with such a short bow .
I wont use it as huntingbow only 3d and abit target shooting. So i think at longer distances itll be very hard to be accurate?!

                            Dont know what to do...

Any other suggestions for a nice bow in that pricerange, only abit longer (33"+)?

This is comical. Not that you would say it, but that it is probably true , too funny.

It's like a Camero out performing a Vette.
